I received an email telling me that one of my favourite authors had made a new release, I haven't checked the email address on this account for so long so I suppose It was about time.

This is sick. You've really evolved your style since last I heard, and It's for the better. I could easily hear this tune on one of the many popular edm podcasts and It's definitely at that professional standard.

It's great to hear you're still going and I might have to take another shot at Newgrounds, If anything it will be worth it to check out your new releases!

Overall an awesome track, 5/5 no doubt.

D-Chain responds:

Thanks for checking my music again, its been a long time indeed, but fear not my friend.
Im constantly on the move to better productions as you noticed so yourself ;)

I actually really like this song dude, it's very nice and chilled. The vibes are great, the simplicity of the song is also somewhat refreshing when you think about how involved some songs can be.

The evolution of the melody is actually very well designed, I feel like I want more of the last melody though! It's as if you started to develop the song and then got bored, maybe you could come back to this when you're stuck for ideas? There's a lot of potential with this and I think that although, in it's current state, the song is good, with a bit more development it could be brilliant.

Something for you to ponder on at least. You're definitely getting more comfortable with your style.

Everratic responds:

Thankyou. You are right. I will go back to the song right now and make edits! I still want to keep the fade out ending.

Sounds like a minor progression to me dude, and it's an awesome one at that :D I'm thinking that you could make this a full 5-6 minutes if you made it properly progressive and took your time with it.

I'd certainly be interested to hear something like that from you, It's something to consider at least.

Clean, smooth and excellent work. Well done.

D-Chain responds:

Thans allot! ill make sure to take my time to finish this one and 5-6 min long sounds fair enough to me :)

This is much better than I had expected, because a lot of it is not uncharacteristic of you, but more developed! You've gotten better already.

The synth tones are much less generic and sound like they were worked on hard, so well done.

I think a better master would have gotten a 5 from me, but hey who cares about stars anyway?

Everratic responds:

I tried a preset for the mastering this time. Now I know not to do that again.
Thankyou.

When I mastered my last song, I honestly did not know what I was doing. I guess not knowing what Im doing works, especially when I'm making my synths lol.

I like the mood and energy of this song. I can't help but feel the synth is a bit too sharp in the first instance, it hurts my hearing a bit.

Apart from that, I like the bassline. It has a real groove to it. Although the chord progression is familiar when compared to some trance songs, it's a good progression! Just because people have used it before doesn't make it obsolete!

Good job, I'd give 5 stars but the song feels slightly rushed in my opinion. If you gave it a bit more time and developed ideas it could have had a much more polished and professional feel. It's still a great song!

I'd be pleased if I were Joel, good work! :)

Bots be getting D-Chain hot under the collar!

Great preview. The synth plucks are wonderful, I don't personally see anything wrong with the way it is at the moment, yet I know you'll want to tinker and fine tune it a lot more to be satisfied with yourself!

Make sure the kick is more prominent in the drop, I'd hate to see it get lost under all those powerful synths you have! Apart from that, don't keep us waiting for the finished article too long!

D-Chain responds:

ill make sure to fine tune the synthwork in a way you can still hear the bassdrum.
however i will probably having a hard time posting the full HQ version here.
but no worries, i promised to show more of the song which i will keep.

Your content is always something to look forward to man, especially when I know you're trying different things and moving past your comfort zone.

I'm starting to like your synths, they've grown on me an awful lot. Although you could describe 1:30 as dull or boring, I think it's actually a nice break form the intense atmosphere you created beforehand.

It's a great song, yet there is still something missing. I can't put my finger on it, yet with your songs there is always a very slight emptiness. I don't know what it is, but it's diminishing as you get better!

Everratic responds:

Thankyou for the review :)
I think I know what's missing ; a good catchy melody that repeats itself throughout the song. I didn't focus on the melodies this time.

This is a great demo! I love the synths, percussion, the transitions and the intro too! The drop makes things even better, it really is great! Dat synth is so dirty I had to roll in some mud to feel clean again!

If the song is up for being named, I might as well give it a go! Hotshot came to mind, it really fits with the song for me! Unless of course the song's name IS noname >_<

Great as always.

D-Chain responds:

Haha! we shall see what name it will be!
no its not 'NoName' lol
thanks for the goodies!

Props for this being your first attempt at dubstep! Although this isn't conventional dubstep it's still great to listen to. It's like an acid/dubstep crossover really!

Good job, till next time!

TjpjMusic responds:

Thanks :)
